In the waters of Bai Tu Long Bay, a stone islet is bobbing like an alluring and graceful swan (Thien Nga) – a swan losing its herd.
This stone swan has taken up countless time and rolls of film of tourist near and far.
Thien Nga islet locates in the heart of Bai Tu Long bay, right next to Cong Dong island and Cong Tay island. Thien Nga islet has beautiful shape and is regarded as the most impressive mountain.
The height of the islet is about 15 meters compared to the sea level and it seems like collapsing into the sea. The two above rocks shape a head and neck of the swan. And the rest of rock form swan body which looks like swimming deliberately on the sea and losing its herd.
The islet comprises three stones piling on each others. The largest block forms a swan body and the two left shapes a head and neck of the swan. The perfect combination of blocks creates a great sculpture sharing the shape with a swan. Gazing from a far distance, the islet resembles a beautiful swan swimming on the sea and losing its herd.
Thien Nga Islet is a wonderful sculpture of nature that impresses many tourists on the cruise on Halong bay.
